What dances can be tested?

American Smooth: Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz and Peabody

American Rhythm: Rumba, Cha Cha, Bolero, Mambo, Swing

International Ballroom(Standard): Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep

International Latin: Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive

Other testing options: Argentine Tango, Bachata, Hustle, Lindy Hop, Merengue, Salsa, and West Coast Swing.

What if I’m a real beginner and don’t even know yet what dances I’d like to learn more about, or a social dancer who knows some figures but hasn’t studied technique?

Good news! We now give Medal Tests in categories called Social Fun Dance! They can be done even before Dance Achievement tests. You don’t need to know a lot of technique, and you can mix and match styles.
